Shay Lewis enters her 7h season as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Schoolcraft College. In her 6 seasons at Schoolcraft, Coach Shay has produced MCCAA All Region, All Conference, All Defensive, MCCAA Player of the week and All Academic players. In the 2024-25 season, Coach Lewis led the Ocelots to her first Great Lakes District title, on their way to the national tournament. Inthe District B tournament, the Ocelots would knock off Oakland and Hokcing on their way to a 12-point victory over Lansing to earn the title. The Ocelots would fall to North Platte in their opening game in Joplin but would bounce back and beat SUNY Niagara to end their tournament with a 1-1 record.

Prior to Schoolcraft, Coach Shay was the Director of Basketball Operations for Oakland University, an Assistant Coach at Rochester College and Head Varsity coach at Rochester Adams HS and MI Elite AAU program. She started her career in sports with the WNBA Detroit Shock, followed by several sports management assignments and is currently the Director of Athletics for the city of Detroit Parks & Recreation

Shay Lewis is a graduate of Wayne State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Film and later a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. Coach Shay was also a standout basketball player for the Tartars earning First Team All-GLIAC honors and voted Best Top 25 Women’s Basketball Players in Wayne State University History.
