Bio

Coach Charve Patterson is a passionate basketball coach and skills trainer, committed to developing players on and off the court. With nearly a decade of coaching experience across youth, high school, and elite travel basketball programs, Coach Patterson brings a track record of development, and success at both the HS and AAU level of the game.

Coach Charve served as the Varsity Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for Belleville High School’s Girls Basketball Team, where he helped guide the program to its first-ever MHSAA Girls Final Four appearance and a 2025 State Championship Title. “His development-first approach fits perfectly into our mentality for our women’s basketball program at Schoolcraft College.  I’m thrilled to have him a part of our staff,” says Head Coach Shay Lewis.

Charve is also a head and assistant coach in the Nike EYBL Michigan Crossover program, working with elite youth athletes and focusing on high-level skills development and game IQ. His coaching history includes time with the Michigan Storm UAA and standout success as a Freshman and Varsity Assistant Coach at Lincoln High School, where he was part of the staff that led the boys team to a 2019 MHSAA State Title and coached NBA player Emoni Bates.

Beyond team settings, Coach Patterson has served as a skills trainer since 2016, training over 20 athletes from high school to professional levels—including overseas players and collegiate athletes. He’s also a featured coach at national and regional camps such as Bates Fundamentals, Be Different Camp, LBI, and She Hoops Ohio.

A hands-on leader and motivator, Coach Patterson brings energy, communication, and tactical knowledge to every session, helping athletes understand both the “why” and “how” of the game. We are glad to have Coach Charve apart of the Schoolcraft Ocelot Women’s Basketball Family.
