Bio

Coach Kerri Yarber brings a dynamic combination of experience, leadership, and passion to the game of women’s basketball. A former standout player at Alma College (2007–2010), she has since dedicated herself to developing athletes both on and off the court.

Prior to joining the Schoolcraft Women’s Basketball staff, Kerri served as an Assistant Coach at Madonna University. Her role on staff with Madonna Women’s Basketball program included Recruiting Coordinator, Post Coach, Academic Liaison, and Mental Health Coach. Her impact at Madonna was immediate and lasting—helping lead the team to its first conference tournament appearance in five years (2021–2022), recruiting a class of 20 new student-athletes in a single season, and contributing to a program-high of 11 Academic All-Americans. In 2023–2024, she was honored as Assistant Coach of the Year

Most recently Kerri has been serving as a Mental Performance Coach and Trainer with Court Vision Training.

Kerri holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Behavioral Health Science from Alma College and is currently completing her Bachelor’s and pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Psychology at Grand Canyon University. Her certifications include Human Nutrition, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), and Youth Sports Administration (NAYS).

Kerri Yarber is known for her deep understanding of mental performance and holistic player development, Coach Kerri’s role of inspiring athletes to grow through resilience, discipline, and teamwork now continues as an Ocelot.
