Schoolcraft College Announces Hiring of Alicia Mobley as Softball Head Coach

LIVONIA, Mich. - - The Schoolcraft College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Alicia Mobley as the new Head Coach of the Schoolcraft Softball program.

"We are thrilled to have Alicia here at Schoolcraft College," said Schoolcraft Athletic Director Patrick Yelsik. "Her ability to develop students both personally and athletically aligns perfectly with our values here. I'm so excited to see the heights that she can take our program to."

Mobley comes to Schoolcraft with over 20 years of coaching experience across numerous levels. She was most recently the Head Coach at Brighton High School for two seasons, and prior to that held the same position at Jackson Northwest High School for seven years, where she accumulated a 196-57 record.

"I'm so blessed to have the incredible opportunity to coach at Schoolcraft College," said Mobley. "It's the right fit at the right time for me. I'm excited about the great group of student-athletes that we have and we're ready to get to work. Ocelot Pride!"

Schoolcraft will not be Mobley's first coaching position in the college ranks, as her coaching career began in 2003 as an assistant at NCAA Division-1 Southeastern Louisiana University, where she worked primarily with the Lady Lions' pitching staff.

In 2021, Mobley was named Softball Director at the Legacy Sports Center in Brighton where she has overseen over 60 teams in the highly touted Legacy Tennessee Mojo travel organization over the last four years. Mobley is also an active board member of the Tennessee Mojo national organization.

Mobley's coaching career began shortly after her playing career concluded, as she was a team captain and a two-time team most valuable player at Adrian College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education, & Recreation.
