Ocelots Win Region 12 Championship

MARYSVILLE, MI -  Looking for another Region 12 championship, the Ocelots faced off against St. Clair looking to avenge a 2-2 tie when these teams last faced off.

Things would get going quickly for Schoolcraft as Adriano Shauya would score in just the 6^th minute to set the tone early. Billy Bingham would extend the lead on his 1^st goal of the year in the 18^th minute, knocking in a rebound. St. Clair got back to within 1 in the 20^th minute, knocking in a rebound of their own. That would be all the scoring for not only the first half, but the whole game.

The Ocelots would have plenty of opportunities throughout the game but would fail to find the back of the net. St. Clair's keeper would stand on his head, stopping 13 of the 23 Schoolcraft shots, including 14 in the 2^nd half. Alexander Heitsch, making his 12^th start of the year, would stop 8 of 9 Skipper shots, earning his 7^th win of the year.

With the Region 12 championship in hand, the Ocelots move onto the district championship. Schoolcraft will travel to Mercer County Community College (NJ) for a chance to punch their ticket to another National Tournament appearance on Friday with a kickoff at 5:00 PM.
