Late Goal Downs Ocelots

LIVONIA, Mi – The Ocelots hosted the 13^th ranked team in the country, Mineral Area College, for  a late season resume booster for both teams.

The Ocelots needed a big win to boost their resume and looked to come out of the gates quickly to swing 1^st. Adriano Shauya would do exactly that, Shauya would bend it into the top right corner to put the Ocelots in the lead just 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the game. However, the offense would struggle to finish from there on out. Mineral Area would get 2 goals, 27^th and 39^th minute, to take a 2-1 lead into the half. Schoolcraft would post 12 shots in the 1^st half, to MAC's 3, but find themselves trailing.

Just like in the 1^st half, Schoolcraft would get a quick goal. This time, Nino Schembri, would knot the game at 2, beating the keeper to his left. Like the 1^st half, again, Schoolcraft would post double-digit shots, 14, but fail to beat the keeper more than once. That would prove to be detrimental to the Ocelots as a Mineral Area College goal in the 81^st minute would down the Ocelots.

Overall, Schoolcraft would outshoot MAC 26-6 but would fail to capitalize on their opportunities.
