JACKSON, MI – Looking to move to 2-0 in MCCAA play, the Ocelots loaded the bus and headed west to face off against the Jets from Jackson College.
Schoolcraft would come out looking to dominate the game from start to finish. In the 1st half, the Ocelots would outshoot the Jets 10-1 with the Jackson keeper making 33 saves and the Ocelots scoring 3 goals. In the 23rd minute, Gavin Lamere would score his 1st goal of the season as well as his 1st goal of the game. 14 minutes later, Rani El Hajj Ahmad would capitalize on an opportunity with an assist from Lamere. Lamere would finish off an excellent 1st half with another goal in the 42nd minute to push the Ocelot lead to 3.
The 2nd half would see more opportunities for Schoolcraft. Posting 14 shots in the half, the Ocelots would score 3 more goals in the half to win 6-0. The goals would come from Nikolas Nareike (58th minute), Ziad Barakat (64th minute), and Adriano Shauya (70th minute).
Alexander Heitsch would get the start in net and not be forced to make a save for his 4th win of the season.
Schoolcraft returns to the pitch on October 9th when they host the Red Hawks from Lake Michigan College. Kick-off is slated for 3:00 PM at the Ocelot Soccer Complex.
