Ocelots Move to 2-0 in MCCAA Play

JACKSON, MI – Looking to move to 2-0 in MCCAA play, the Ocelots loaded the bus and headed west to face off against the Jets from Jackson College.

Schoolcraft would come out looking to dominate the game from start to finish. In the 1^st half, the Ocelots would outshoot the Jets 10-1 with the Jackson keeper making 33 saves and the Ocelots scoring 3 goals. In the 23^rd minute, Gavin Lamere would score his 1^st goal of the season as well as his 1^st goal of the game. 14 minutes later, Rani El Hajj Ahmad would capitalize on an opportunity with an assist from Lamere. Lamere would finish off an excellent 1^st half with another goal in the 42^nd minute to push the Ocelot lead to 3.

The 2^nd half would see more opportunities for Schoolcraft. Posting 14 shots in the half, the Ocelots would score 3 more goals in the half to win 6-0. The goals would come from Nikolas Nareike (58^th minute), Ziad Barakat (64^th minute), and Adriano Shauya (70^th minute).

Alexander Heitsch would get the start in net and not be forced to make a save for his 4^th win of the season.

Schoolcraft returns to the pitch on October 9^th when they host the Red Hawks from Lake Michigan College. Kick-off is slated for 3:00 PM at the Ocelot Soccer Complex.
